1. Overconfident detail

If the answer includes very precise facts, dates, figures, laws or citations without uncertainty, that can be a red flag.

2. Smooth nonsense

Hallucinations often sound polished. Fluency is not the same thing as truth.

3. Missing provenance

Ask where the information came from, whether it can be checked, and whether the claim matches the context.
